The Ibero University is a private institution founded in 1954 belonging to the Jesuit University System. It is located in the Santa Fe area of Mexico City, and its mission is to contribute to the achievement of a more free, supportive, just, inclusive, productive and peaceful society. Ibero seeks to develop three main aptitudes in its students: the ability to learn at university and in life, the ability to think to solve problems, and the ability to make decisions freely and responsibly. We want our students to develop their profession through critical and creative thinking, both with the freedom to support and establish their own goals and with the responsibility to make ethical decisions.

The Design Department has been a leader and pioneer in the field of design in Mexico and Latin America for more than 60 years. It has national and international recognition thanks to its tenured and subject professors who have extensive experience in academic and professional fields, its students in which critical and creative thinking is encouraged, and its graduates who have a competitive development through global level.
Our purpose: We train people committed to the splendor of things that transform the environment, through the delivery and enjoyment of design that interacts with others.

Clothing and Fashion Design and Textile Design: Like the rest of the university, they have two vitally important focuses; the social and the industrial. These are careers that train creative designers with the ability to solve any challenge that comes their way in terms of the functionality of textiles and clothing, valuing cultural, aesthetic and sustainable aspects. In addition, it addresses marketing and management issues by analyzing the user, their environment and the use of cutting-edge technological tools that respond to the requirements of the local, national and global market.

The University of Minho, through the Textile Engineering Department, was pioneer in Portugal offering a master study program in Design and Marketing, in the areas of Textile Design and Clothing, with more than 20 years of experience in research in this scientific area. In addition to the Master in Design and Marketing of Textile Products, Garments and Accessories, the Textile Engineering Department, is currently responsible for a degree in Fashion Design and Marketing and a Master's degree in Fashion Communication Design and a PhD in Fashion Design. The research activities of the Department are carried out within the Centre for Textile Science & Technology (2C2T), a Research Center of Excellency.
